A network is a group or system of interconnected people or things. Networks work by transforming large communications into smaller packets. The essence of networking is how these packets are assembled, disassembled and switched through a network.
If you were logged in, you would be able to see a lot more content. There are different interactive reflections, your learning profile, goal-setting tools, and more available to logged in users. Joining and using this site is free (always will be), and joining enables you to interact with our resources. You can still read our forums and browse the different learning activities, but you won't be able to create and edit content on this site unless you are logged in.
A final note. I am a very deep believer in open-source and creative commons licensing. Please know this site (and the companion computer science wiki) are a service for teachers of computer science.
